Web Developer
As a web developer, you will be working in a challenging and diverse environment within a team of professionals. You will develop new functionality for our web applications and create links to data coming from our backend systems. Sometimes you also work on scripts that run behind the scenes. There is a personal and informal working atmosphere. Textkernel uses the Scrum method for agile software development. You will have the opportunity to learn and work with the latest technologies.
We are looking for a talented, smart, and hard working developer with an eye for quality and for efficiency. We expect good knowledge of HTML, PHP, CSS, XML, Javascript and AJAX. You need to have extensive experience with databases and DBMSs, preferably MySQL. Some experience with web services, web design and Linux is also required. Knowledge of an additional scripting language (such as Perl, Python or Ruby) is also expected. Our preferred candidate also has some experience with Java. You need to be a good team worker and an easy communicator both in written and spoken English.
Computational linguists
Textkernel's software learns from examples how to perform complex text interpretation tasks. Our language engineers are involved in the whole process from data annotation, applying supervised machine learning techniques, adding domain specific rules and additional knowledge sources, up to fine tuning the accuracy and performance.
We are looking for talented, smart, and hard working computational linguists. At Textkernel you are expected to have a large impact on the products, and to make a defining contribution to the quality of our recognition solutions. The role is diverse and challenging, as it involves both solving difficult language engineering tasks and interaction with clients in practical projects.
We expects excellent programming skills in scripting (Perl), XML and character encoding standards for text processing, and good knowlegde object oriented languages (Java, C++), familiarity with developing under Linux and Windows, and a self-motivated, ambitious and creative personality.
Masters or PhD degree in natural language processing, computer science, artificial intelligence or related field. Interest in natural language processing, machine learning, information extraction, web mining, pattern recognition, information theory, algorithms, data structures. Focused on delivering high quality services and enterprise level software.
Software Engineers Java / Web Applications
